Import / export feature was omitted because it uses base64 encryption, and the uploader wouldn't let me upload it.
There are lot of customization options in SWIFT, asking users to goto other page for setting the background will be confusing.
admin pages do not look good on my screen, they are not adjusting for my secondary 1024 monitor, which quite a number of people still use that resolution
Is it unusable?

Please download the theme from http://swiftthemes.com/download/ for this feature to work properly. Inconvenience regretted." Themes must include all features that an end user will get, otherwise omit it, i'm going to consider this area of import-export as non-functional and needs to be fixed. If unable to fix needs to be omitted.
While it's ok to have themes with paid version on the directory, whats the problem with this?

This is a broken feature, since the feature doesn't work, it needs to be fixed. If it is unable to be fixed, it needs to be removed.
Not to mention that the functionality of it can be better utilized as a plugin, you can reference the plugin on the admin page.

It is more confusing for someone who is familiar with wordpress to find the option to change the background to find it someplace else.

Remember, please; to design the UI for the end user and utilize as much of the existing API that comes with WordPress?, eventually this will be a 'strongly suggested'

Re: Admin Screens - annoying to scroll left and right, but no, not unusable hence it was just a notation, I would think you would want to cater to your end user of your themes and be universally appealing.

Re: Admin Screens
My main priority is giving the best front end for the readers of their blog.
There are other important things to do than worrying about 20 odd users with 1024px screen.
Anyway, I will see if i can find a work around for the problem.
It's been almost 8 months since SWIFT was updated on the repository, please accept this update.
I will change the background images in the next version.

=> Required:
=> The link: http://swiftthemes.com/hire-me/ needs to go to the site of the developer itself or for specifically the theme and not directly to a hire-me page; in the end user footer, okay with the admin page itself.
=> "Please download the theme from http://swiftthemes.com/download/ for this feature to work properly. Inconvenience regretted." Themes must include all features that an end user will get, otherwise omit it, i'm going to consider this area of import-export as non-functional and needs to be fixed. There's a new tool called the theme-check plugin and of course debogger, if you could load those and check your themes with them before uploading that would be great.
