Newschannel - 1.0

Newschannel is a pretty versatile theme, that places the emphasis of the home page and archive pages on featured images. It would be great for a personal blog, but would also be good for a local news site or even a photography blog.

So here is my theme review: the theme respects all the Theme Review Guidelines except that requiring valid HTML.

The pages don't pass the W3C Validator, due to what I suspect are issues with the search form. The first issue is that the form is placed in the hgroup in header.php, which is not semantically correct. The second issue is that there are two search forms on the pages, so there are duplicate ID's in the HTML. There is also an issue of incorrectly closed DIVs on the page template.

So unfortunately I cannot approve the theme at this point, but in my opinion some rather quick fixes to the above mentioned issues are all that is needed for the theme approved.
