A note to the reviewers:
First of all, thanks so much for volunteering your time! Now about this submission. I realize that it is a child theme, and typically one would want child themes to be visually distinct from the parent theme, or have some other difference that a user can spot right away. I know that this child theme submission is not that.
However, I feel that the additional microdata that permeates the child theme really is a large value add for those who are concerned with making their content as accessible to machines, search engines, and the open web as possible. Therefore, I wanted to submit the child theme so that those who wanted to add this functionality could do so and still stay true to default WordPress?. It is not really an option to do this through a plugin, because the amount of in-buffer rewriting that would have to occur; performance would be a huge hit (not to mention really difficult to write and extend to different themes).
Also, there is an additional visual thing: extra widgets in the footer! This was an awesome feature of T11, so I wanted T12 to have it to.
All that said, I hope that this gives context to the submission of this child theme, and hopefully helps it to pass the review and become available to others in the repository. Thanks!
