Description

Dark Responsive - 1.0

Child-Theme of Twenty Twelve - The 2012 theme for WordPress is a fully responsive theme that looks great on any device. Features include a front page template with its own widgets, an optional display font, styling for post formats on both index and single views, and an optional no-sidebar page template. Make it yours with a custom menu, header image (which unlike its parent will display above the navigation area), and background.

This is a child theme of Twenty Twelve with new header and footer templates overriding the original Twenty Twelve templates. The only difference in header.php between Dark Responsive and Twenty Twelve is the ordering of the code for the nav menu and the header? Shouldn't this be done with just CSS so the template isn't needlessly overridden? The header image height is available for any dynamic CSS required in functions.php.

With the footer template the only change is the addition of a link to the author's blog. do_action( 'twentytwelve_credits' ) exists for that purpose. I see no need for overriding those templates. (And if they are overridden the package descriptions need to change in the PHP comments at the top of the templates.)

Because this theme has different styles than it's parent the editor styles need to be updated or removed.

The color contrast looks to be too low on submenu items in the main navigation. Likewise with some of the links in the sidebar and captions.

The Aside post format has been ignored in this child theme's re-skinning of Twenty Twelve. And possibly the quote format as well.

If the above items are adressed this theme should be able to be approved.
