Hi. This updates adds the class-tgm-plugin-activation script and recommend two plugins:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/tweet-old-post/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/login-customizer/

However, neither of these plugins integrates with the theme in a meaningful way- so I'm not sure the purpose in recommending them.

Hey,

Thanks for the review.Since the plugins are in the repository this is perfectly fine, a lot of people are doing it also :).

They are not meaningful from your point of view, from mine they look useful for the the users, one is to customize their login screen and another to retweet old content. They are not forced or required to be installed, just recommended .

  • Resolution set to not-approved
  • Status changed from reviewing to closed

I asked a couple senior reviewers to weigh in and we agreed that TGM should only really be used to recommend plugins that enhance the functionality of the theme. These would generally be items with a front end component, like shortcodes, widgets, social buttons, or breadcrumbs. The two plugins you're recommend seem especially niche and have no front-end component.

You're welcome to hop in the slack channel and discuss it further. We can also bring it up as an agenda item in the next theme review team meeting, but for now I am going to mark this ticket as not-approved.
