Hi kijag,

My name is Timothy. I'm going to be reviewing your theme.

At this time your theme isn't ready for inclusion in the WordPress themes directory. I've outlined a number of things that you must fix, and recommendations that you do fix. If something isn't clear let me know. This might not be all of the issues, but they are the ones that stood out to me upon first look.

  • Your readme.txt file must be filled out.
  • Remove link called kijag Customizer in the Appearance Menu. The regular Customize link that WordPress Core provides is sufficient.
  • You are missing the .screen-reader-text CSS class. See the the Codex:
  • You need to implement image alignment. Your theme isn’t paying attention to images that are left aligned, center aligned, or right aligned.
  • Comments are not displayed on pages with comments.
  • If not all menu locations are selected, the main navigation menu is not displayed on any interior pages, just the home page.
  • I can’t identify where the secondary menu is being displayed. If this is not in use, it should be removed.
  • The auhtor links in entry meta are not working
  • Your scripts are not using [wp_enqueue_script](https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script). Printing scrips manually in the header.php file of your theme is not allowed.
  • You are not allowed to use your own version of jQuery.
  • You are using your own favicon uploader. Since WordPress 4.3 this is provided natively and you should use [WordPress’s Site Identity](https://make.wordpress.org/themes/2015/08/28/backward-compatible-faviconsicons/) feature rather than your own.
  • If you declare support for custom headers
  • The header text color does not appear to work.
  • Your theme should be setup on the [after_setup_theme](https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Action_Reference/after_setup_theme) hook.

  • Your screenshot is the wrong size. It should be 1200px x 800px, and should follow a ratio of 4:3
  • Your H1 tags have a color of white. This is fine for the theme header, but not good for the content area
  • Your menu is only displaying the first level of nesting.
  • Your theme functions aren’t prefixed correctly. Some are done using example, some are done using wpex. You should use your theme name as your function prefixes.
  • Your PHP files should not end with a closing php tag.
  • You are using deprecated HTML tags like <center>. These should be removed in favor of using CSS
  • If there is no value present for social media links, those links should not be displayed.

  • Consider adding padding to the tables to make the information easier to read
  • On the blog page, if blog posts are shorter in height than your entry meta, the entry meta jumps all over the page.
  • Consider shrinking the comment author images. Right now they take up the entire content area

After all of the required issues are fixed, you can upload a new version of your theme and I will take another look at your theme.
