BirdTIPS - 1.01

BirdTIPS is a flexible three-column blog theme. The theme uses CSS3 media queries for its responsive layout and is therefore optimized for tablet pcs and smart phones. Features include the page navigation and breadcrumb navigation. You can also choose the link color, article title color and navigation menu color.

  • FIXED: 'BirdTIPS' should be replaced with 'birdtips'.
  • FIXED: The theme lacks a readme.txt file or any other kind of documentation file.
  • FIXED: The theme lacks info about the licenses of the included image files.
  • FIXED: Headings h1 and h2 have the same font size.
  • FIXED: Some floated elements within posts are not properly cleared
  • NOT-FIXED': Way too big value for $content_width. => Take width of #content.
  • FIXED: Posts with no Title must still display a link to the single page Post view.

Code Quality

  • REQUIRED: No core WordPress functions introduced prior to one previous, major WordPress release (3.2) are wrapped in function_exists() conditionals. Please check entire theme!
  • REQUIRED: Themes are REQUIRED to use get_template_directory()/get_stylesheet_directory() instead of TEMPLATEPATH/STYLESHEETPATH
  • REQUIRED: Themes are REQUIRED to enqueue comment-reply script via callback, rather than hard-code the enqueue in the HTML document head. Example:

  • REQUIRED: All user facing strings must be translatable

  • Theme will be held for approval until items listed as REQUIRED are addressed. Once these issues have been resolved, please re-submit your Theme using the uploader tool on wordpress.org, and a new Trac ticket will be generated.
  • Re-submitted Themes are given review priority over new Themes. Any review-based Theme revision that is submitted within two days of the previous review and linked to from the previous ticket will be accepted by the previous-ticket reviewer, and the review continues on the new ticket.
